Hi quick intro: this is a blog series "within my blog" written by me this article maybe be updated or added too - a will all my ideas and stuff - anyway:

Idea 1. - Make a Website about your town/ city or favorite place - if someone has already taken this idea from my site i.e is using my method described here - pick another town or pick another FOCUS within that town to base your blog around - for example if somebody is blogging all about the beach, blog all about the parks or the woods or local animals or local business - like all the nightclubs in your area.

My point is building a specialized blog in a niche has endless possibilities - I will go into this more asap on this page - but for a start have a look at my example of a LOCAL niche website I'm doing - it's based around where I'm living, and it's a bit of a mixture - mainly linking up groups and places to talk on the web or locals:

Sorry, but I need to RANT for a minute, so bear with me...

I just received another one of those so-called "free" report offers in my email. Something about multiplying my income... blowing away my competition... yadda yadda...

So like a fool, I go check out the report, and it's nothing but a barely concealed sales pitch for some lame new product that I'm not even interested in!

Worst thing?

There wasn't one *bit* of USEFUL information in the report at all!

I mean, give me a break! How many more of these lame "free" offers are we going to have to put up with? It's like everybody and his or her dog is putting out this useless garbage.

The industry is FLOODED with them!

Trust me: this is NOT how you do FREE (unless, of course, your goal is to anger or alienate your customers and subscribers, and KILL your chances of developing a strong relationship with them).

And here's the thing... if these jokers understood how to REALLY do free, their customers and subscribers would see them as heroes, rather than dummies.

Case in point?

Derek Gehl recently released a set of FREE videos that provide a TON of value, with real, step-by-step information that ANYONE can follow to make SERIOUS profits on the Internet (potentially thousands of dollars a MONTH), even if you don't have website!

These videos are about getting started on eBay, and they're FULL of tested and proven strategies for getting wealthy on eBay that he and his in-house team of elite mentors spent MONTHS pulling together.

I watched them, and was really impressed by their content.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they're revealing profit secrets in these videos that even the top sellers on eBay don't know about!

And if you read the marketing blogs, you'll see that people are LOVING them!

Everyone's raving about how USEFUL the videos are, and how grateful they are to Derek for giving them such a great head-start to making a solid income online.

Sewing is a skill that is coming back into fashion as more people seek to reduce their clothing costs and make the clothes that they have last longer. Many Wahms find profitable businesses in offering their sewing skills to people who don’t have the time or the skill to make repairs or alterations on their clothes. There are even several profitable sewing niches, like cloth diapers and slings, which have found interest online.

Getting started with your sewing business starts with deciding what you want to do. You can specialize in one type of sewing (bridal party gowns) or you can take a wide variety of jobs. Since it is your business, it is totally up to you how to run it. Some people specialize in children’s clothing, alterations/repairs, women’s clothing or formal wear. Although sewing clothing is the most profitable field, many Wahms enjoy offering home décor services and make curtains, slipcovers and other home accents.

Before you start advertising, make sure that you have the supplies that you’ll need. With all of this information, you can sit down and formulate a business plan without it taking you a lot of valuable time.

If you are attempting to obtain financing for your sewing business, you will have to have a business plan in place to show your potential lenders. Your business plan shows lenders that you are serious about your business, and also how it will be profitable to allow you to pay them back. Do not attempt financing without a good solid business plan because you are simply wasting your time.

The absolute best way to market your business is through word-of-mouth. Once your business gets going, if you treat your customers well, then they will tell their friends and family about you; this will bring you more customers without having to pay a dime to advertise.

As you can see there are a lot of things for you to consider when you are thinking about starting a home-based sewing business. However, your business can be very successful and profitable if you take the time to make it so.
